City of Angels

“When the mind withdraws into itself and dispenses with facts it makes only chaos.”
— Edith Hamilton
I watched a movie the other night that was very touching and inspiring — City of Angels. It gave an interpretation of how angels interact with us here on Earth. There were two main messages that I received: Even if we can’t see them, angels are here with us at all times to help us through our challenges if we just listen; Even though we might receive guidance and inspiration from our angels, we have free will and therefore it is up to us to choose what we do in the end.
In the midst of a challenging situation or a crisis, it is often more difficult to translate which thought is our own and which is inspired. And often when we are not in a healthy state of mind, it is far easier to listen to the madness of our egos than the simplicity of our angels. But I urge you to try to distinguish between the two. Listen to the guidance not the chaos. Help is there for our taking. Clarity and direction will be given if asked.
BTW: City of Angels is one of my favorite movies!

Tune in to Real Life Radio today at 2 pm and get a chance to get a intuitive numerology reading!
Numerology has become a passion for Paola. She sees it as an incredible source of wisdom.
For much of her life, Paola Gucciardi lived with the misconception that her fulfillment and happiness came from outside of herself. She searched for her fulfillment in relationships, possessions and a successful career. But she was feeling stuck, like something was missing.
In her pursuit for meaning and purpose in her life, she discovered numerology and she’s now a devotee and an advocate of this powerful tool. Now, numerology has become Paola’s own personal life as well as her business life with the launch of L1fe Num8ers in 2002.
With a business background in finance and supply management, Paola is viewed as an analytical and logical person. And Paola brings that logic with her to her interpretation of each client’s numbers. She finds that numerology, the science of numbers, not only makes sense, but also it resonates with her.
Numerology provides meaning to Paola’s life experiences and it provides clarity that everything adds up about WHY things happen. It’s helped her to develop a healthy perspective, one that encourages Paola to see her experiences and challenges for what they are – opportunities to learn and develop. Numerology has led her to discover and develop many aspects of her personality that had been dormant for many years. Today, Paola uses numerology to inspire others to do the same.
Using her Life Numbers car analogy, Paola helps her clients to understand their Life Numbers and the incredible guidance they offer regarding career, health, personal and business relationships and spiritual growth. During a reading, Paola uses her intuition, healing and empathic abilities to hone in on the areas of life that are creating obstacles. She helps her clients to understand why the obstacles are there and how to use their number knowledge to overcome them.
Paola is dedicated to inspire, facilitate and promote positive change in the world, one person at a time.

Feng Shui in your daily life

Lillian Too explains in The Complete Illustrated Guide to Feng Shui that “Feng Shui offers a method of living life in a harmonious relationship with the earth’s environment and with its energy lines. Its practice can enhance your good fortune in many areas of your life, including your family relationships, your career, and your business.”
One of the most important tips I learned from Feng Shui was that clutter blocks the energy flow in your home or office. Now, whether or not you want to go deep into the world of Feng Shui, you have to admit that there is something that rings true in that concept. I have always said, “Mess is stress”. And clutter is definitely mess.
So eliminate one stressful part of your life and pick up any places that tend to get cluttered. You will find that your mind will function with more ease when there is no mess lying around. And you may also improve your luck and good fortune at the same time.
Tune in today at 2pm EST to Real Life Radio

She’s studied under a Native American Shaman, Energy healers in Sedona Arizona, and a variety of intuitives and spiritual teachers in Canada. Trust Yourself

“Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do.”
— Benjamin Spock
Instinct is a powerful thing in life, in relationships, in business, in friendships, in making decisions, etc. I can remember well the times that I heard my intuition screaming and still chose to not listen. But even then, I had some great lessons in life taught in some very powerful ways.
Nonetheless, start believing in yourself. And start believing in your decisions. You will not always get it right, but that only shows that you are human, so that’s fine. Most of the time, you will make the right decisions if you listen to your instincts.
Trust yourself. You are your best friend, your best counsellor, and your best guide.
Lighten up

Now that the lightening and thunderstorms have passed and we have our internet connection back up — here’s the daily inspiration again!
“Laugh at yourself, but don’t ever aim your doubt at yourself.”
— Alan Alda
Don’t take yourself or all of life’s ups and downs too seriously. Lighten up. We were designed to live by our senses, not by our brains. Be bold and trust your inner guidance without hesitation.
Always follow your instincts, your intuition, your gut. And when things don’t go the way you thought it would, laugh at your mistakes. Being able to laugh at yourself is the key to self-actualization.
None of us is in control as much as we would like to think we are. Go with the flow. Forgive yourself. And move forward.
Trust your body… cause your mind can lie.

“Intuition is the supra-logic that cuts out all the routine processes of thought and leaps straight from the problem to the answer.”
— Robert Graves
Be in your body because it is where intuition lives. In our busy lives, many of us typically function only with our heads. This is actually very counterintuitive and tends to cut off our vital energy flow and may not lead us in the right direction.
Take a moment to reconnect with yourself, with your body. Your body has wisdom and sends you messages regularly. Your mind is important, but sometimes it is so busy it forgets to check in and see how the body is responding.
When making a decision, notice your body’s signals. Do you feel energized? Comfortable? Is your breathing effortless? Your gut calm? Are your shoulders loose? Or do you have a sick feeling in your stomach? A lump in your throat? In all your choices, tuning in to what your body says is a naturally given gift for keeping on track with your higher self.
Maintaining Real Life Balance

“You lose your balance when you say, ‘I will not accept what is happening to me.’”
— Marilyn Eileen Charlton, Life on the Causal Plain, A Glimpse of Heven
You lose your own intuitive guidance when you don’t accept what is happening to you in your life. The main goal for change is to become balanced again. In the simplest terms we are all striving for balance in our lives. However, this balance actually comes by going with the flow of life and accepting even the times that are not as easy to understand or to accept.
Life is not simply a predetermined destination. It is the journey that we are on every day. There may be unexpected curves and turns in the road we are on. We may encounter low valleys and high mountains. However, with each step we take on this journey, we are shaping who we are and who we will become. And with this adventurous path, every day, we will discover the best in ourselves — if we accept what happens to us along the way.

Gut instinct or fear?

“It is only by following your deepest instinct that you can lead a rich life, and if you let your fear of consequence prevent you from following your deepest instinct, then your life will be safe, expedient and thin.”
—Katharine Butler Hathaway
There are two different voices that can call out to you from within, so it is easy to be fooled. One is your true inner self giving you the guidance to follow your heart, to follow your intuition, to follow your gut. Its voice is nudging but in a gentle knowing way. It will lead you to what is best for you. It is often described as a calm sense of knowing.
The other voice is usually more intense so it can be heard often louder than the true voice of intuition. But it can also be described as panicky, even abusive and it is closely associated to the ego. Often there are many judgments attached to the reasoning, and the outcome is usually not a happy or satisfying one. The underlying emotion is one based on fear.
If you are in a moment of indecision and you don’t know which voice to listen to, relax, take some deep breaths and ask in a loving, calm voice for the true answer to come to you. You will be surprised at how clearly the answer arrives when you are open to receiving it.

A little realignment for your soul

I first discovered dowsing a few years ago. I thought it was simply a fun thing to do for entertainment at first. Then I started to realize that I was getting answers from a place in me that I didn’t always listen to with both ears and my heart. When I started to listen to my own inner guidance as shown to me through the pendulum, I was surprised at how much I learned about myself.
I still use dowsing for the big questions. And I know of some people who use it for everything. Perhaps I don’t use it as often because I have started to actually listen to my inner self’s signals without the pendulum now. But if ever in real doubt, I know I can pull it out and double check my intuition.
Andrea Hess is a teacher of the art of dowsing and she also will do your soul realignment readings. Here is a bit of info on her services:
