See what is great!

“Everyone has inside of him a piece of good news. The good news is that you don’t know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is!”
— Anne Frank
Whether it is a person, a house, a job, a country, you name it, I recommend that you see what is great. It is so easy to slip into the mode of seeing only the things that need improvement, or that are no good about each one.
There is usually one thing we could do to improve and work on. People are not perfect, houses need repairs, jobs have their up and down moments, countries go through trying times. However, I feel that it is so much better for us to focus on what is good already.
Doesn’t it make you feel better when you think about all the things that are already working out? And when you focus on all the good things, it increases that “happy” vibration and attracts more “happy” things to focus on. Yes, be aware of the other side too, but rejoice in what is already great.
Infinite possibilities

“We are capable of infinite possibilities and become limited only when we shut the door on new ones or when we are not aware that there are doors we haven’t seen.”
— Virginia Satir
I was learning just yesterday, a new technique for living with confidence every moment of my day. There is a power base within each of us that we need to focus on that will give us confidence anytime we need it and will also make us feel good.
When we live with this power-base awareness, we instantly become calmer, more focused and are visibly more confident. How valuable this technique is in so many situations — meeting someone new, job interviews, making presentations, customer service, going to parties.
We have infinite possibilities of living a life exactly as we desire. New doors are opening all the time that may lead you to new knowledge to empower your life. And sometimes there are doors open that you are not even aware of because you are only looking in one direction. Take a look around. Listen to what others are saying. Maybe there is a new opportunity waiting for you to see it right now.
Have you checked in lately?

“Whatever you are doing, love yourself for doing it. Whatever you are feeling, love yourself for feeling it.”
— Thaddeus Golas
Have you checked in lately with your higher self? It’s always good to take some time to see where you are at with your self-esteem, self-worth, self-confidence every now and then.
Do you owe yourself some praise for some good work accomplished? How about some understanding for a few set-backs? Anything left in the corners hiding that your higher self would like you to notice and bring to the forefront?
One great way to get in touch with your higher self is to meditate. Daily is optimal, but even if you take the opportunity when it comes you way to clear you mind you will be pleased to here the messages that come your way. Another good way to check in is to go with your gut; anything that intuitively bothers you may be an indication that there is some focus needed in that part of your life.
Focus on what makes you happy: relationships

“You get what you think about, whether you want it or not.”
— Esther and Jerry Hicks, Ask and It Is Given
There is a device at the base of your brain called a reticular activating device whose job it is to filter out information that we have concluded is not important and assists you in noticing the things that you have decided are important. Another way to see it is that it works in conjunction with your belief system.
For example, if you have decided that the world is full of mean people, you will primarily notice all the mean people in the world. If however, you have made it a belief that the world is full of love and miracles, you will notice more love and miracles than someone who believes otherwise.
This is also the Law of Attraction in work. Because you get what you think about, even if it is a negative thought (mean people) you will actually attract (and notice) more mean people in your life.
So do this experiment: Focus only on the things that make you feel good. Take an important relationship in your life that may not be as optimal as you would like it to be and focus only on the positive aspects of that person for one week. You will notice their behavior will actually change positively as well.
Focus on what is important
“The truly important things in life — love, beauty, and one’s own uniqueness — are constantly being overlooked.” — Pablo Casals
When we focus on what is important right now, we can become the best we can be even in the most challenging moments. Deciding that the activity or goal in the present moment is the most important thing we can be doing in our lives, we can begin to see things that were previously overlooked due to our distracted minds. Being in the now means that we are not experiencing an urge to be somewhere else, to do something else, or to think about something else.
To achieve this clear state of mind, you must know who you are. Trust that you will do what is right for you at the right time. Mark Twain once said, “I have worried about a great many things in my life. And a few of them actually happened.”
Experience the joy, the self-confidence, and the excellence that comes with living in the now. Let go of what you think should be happening, in order to enjoy and fully experience what is actually happening in your life.
