We’re talking about a Real Life Shift!

“The impulses of energy and information that create our life experiences are reflected in our attitudes toward life. And our attitudes are an outcome of and expressions of self-engendered impulses of energy and information.”
— Deepak Chopra

We live in a matrix of energy that influences our lives and that is influenced by our lives. What does this mean? It means that everything that is happening to us, we are making these events happen. We are creating these experiences of joy and sorrow, of success and failure, of wealth and poverty.

Take this concept one step further: We can shift this energy to our favor. The more we become aware of this power to influence the energies and vibrational flows in our life, the more likely that our attitude and behaviour will change along with it. The results may not occur overnight, but will inevitably manifest over time.

We have the power within us to create our life exactly as we choose. Begin to understand this today and you are well on your way to making some real life changes and a world shift.

Earth Hour March 29th at 8 pm

Something big is happening tonight, March 29th at 8PM…

There’s a huge global event taking place…
Real Life Balance also has a lot to do with your carbon footprint and going green, which is why I’ve committed myself and my business to being green and ask you to do the same.

Now I’m asking you to help out tonight…

So here’s how it works. It’s called Earth Hour, and it’s so simple to participate, yet it’s powerful beyond your
imagination. You won’t even believe the impact you’ll make.

How? By turning off all lights for just one hour tonight, Saturday, March 29, starting at 8PM (your local time). That’s right, for just one hour.

This event was created by the World Wildlife Fund in Sydney, Australia in 2007… and the impact it created was so huge that it’s blossomed to a global event within only a year. Last year, it reduced Sydney’s energy consumption by a whopping 10.2% for one hour, which is the equivalent of taking 48,000 cars off the road for a year!

Well, they’re doing the same thing tonight, but this time it’s global and with many more millions of people around the world involved. Imagine the impact!

Please join me in bringing balance to the earth tonight. Go ahead, turn out those lights!

Making your mark in life

“I just try to matter.”
— June Carter

Would it change your day if upon waking you asked, “How can I matter today?” Then what if everything you did that day, provided an answer to your question? I watched the Oscars once, and Reese Witherspoon related her life to June Carter’s, stating she just wants to matter, she just wants to make a difference in the world.

How can we make a difference? How can we matter? For me, it’s being a good mother, spending more time with my kids while they need me. It’s being a good friend, sending a prayer to comfort them through their trying moments. It’s learning to be a good wife and showing my husband how much I do love him even when I am too busy. It’s being a good business woman and having the courage to take risks to take my company to new heights.

And what about all the little things we can do for others? Like simply showing understanding and compassion. Like not judging their lives when we will never fully know their full story. Like being a friend and just listening.

It is the seemingly little things that we do with love and compassion that matter and that will make a difference in the world. Make your mark in life and “try to matter” everyday.

The Art of Setting Goals

“Imagination is everything - it is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” — Albert Einstein

Goal-setting is one of the best ways to actively create your real life balance. Setting specific goals based on your desires (plan), seeing (visualize) and feeling them happening (put strong emotion behind them). Put yourself in that glorious future in your mind.

Be specific when you write out your goals. Start with 4 main goals which include each major sector of your life: money, mind, body, and soul. Write them in present tense, starting with “I am” and using an active verb. Give them a due date, then be sure to append “or sooner” at the end. For example: “I am eating healthy whole foods by December 31, 2008, or sooner.”

Review stage: Go through the goals at least twice a day. Visualize achieving your goals and experiencing the good feelings associated with your success.

After reviewing them in the morning, write down three things you can do today to help you achieve your #1 goal. Visualize them being achieved, and take action to make them happen. You’ll be surprised how motivated you’ll be to move to the next step. Then, as you reach a goal, move on to the next goal on your list.

Clear the field before you plant again

“Without freedom from the past, there is no freedom at all, because the mind is never new, fresh, innocent.”
—Krishnamurti

When we hold onto our past, we do not allow ourselves the freedom to grow and move forward into the present moment. Instead, we carry these heavy loads of upsets, hurts, and regrets over past events which invariably steal our energy and love in some form or another. The worst part of holding on to the pains of our past is that it allows the negative energy to seep into our present and our future.

In order to start living with true freedom we must find closure to these incidents or people that are attached to the pain. We must allow forgiveness to help heal our wounds by choosing to let go of the past wrongs and no longer be hurt by them. Do not let these unresolved issues block you from expressing your greatest self. Imagine how good it will be to have a clear field to plant the seeds for your future.

Quantum Relations

“There is no way to Peace. Peace is the way.”
— Mahatma Gandhi

We are all one. Deepak Chopra explains in Creating Affluence, that “All of material creation, everything that we can see, touch, hear, taste, or smell is made from the same stuff and comes from the same source.”

This is not just something that he has made up for his book, but this is something that quantum field theorists have discovered through their research. Cars, human bodies, money, and trees — all are made up of atoms.

There are many directions we could go with this information, but I am going to focus on something that affects us in our day-to-day life. Dealing with people. It doesn’t matter who you are dealing with — your husband, your children, the cashier at the grocery store, or even the odd people out there that irritate you. According to quantum physics, we are all one.

So as difficult as it might be at times, this concept makes you think twice before you want to say harsh words to get rid of the person on the phone that you don’t want to deal with, because you are actually dealing with a part of yourself! And once we can truly start dealing with everyone in our lives with love and kindness, we will start to feel inner peace and fulfillment.

A Helping Hand

“I always wanted to be somebody. If I made it, it’s half because I was game enough to take a lot of punishment along the way and half because there were a lot of people who cared enough to help me.”
— Althea Gibson (1927 - )

Real Life isn’t always easy for many people. But it doesn’t always have to be that way. One reason why it seems to be harder than it should is that we don’t ask for help when we need it. We feel as if asking for assistance is proof that we are incompetent. Or we were brought up to believe that we should not impose ourselves and our needs on others.

The sad truth of it is that we only become inept when we are overwhelmed by our load because we waited too long to ask for help from our family, our friends, co-workers, or even strangers.

In Simple Abundance, Sarah Ban Breathnach asks us to “Think of it as a positive exchange of comfort and compassion in the circle of life.” Be kind to others and, most importantly, let others be kind to you.

Pregnancy is not a mental illness!

The MOTHERS ACT is a bill before the Senate, already passed by the House with only 3 “no” votes, which sets up a nation-wide screening and “education” campaign to encourage “antidepressant” drugs and other psychiatric drugs for pregnant and new moms. This isn’t medical science, this is political abuse marketing, for the greed of the few at the expense of the many.

Choosing Happiness

“Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence.” — Aristotle.

Did you know that 1 out of every 5 women in America are on some sort of anti-depressant?

Well, some might argue that we have no control over how happy we are in life — due to genes or circumstances. But scientific research now shows that while 50% of our happiness is actually genetic, and 10% is based on circumstance, 40% is due to habitual thoughts and behaviors. That’s great news! That means by making changes to the limiting beliefs, thoughts and actions in your life, you can begin to change how happy you are!

Begin now to choose happiness in your life. No matter what circumstance you find yourself in. Happiness is a state of mind and you have the freedom to choose happiness. It may seem too simple to be true, but it works.

Make it a habit to be happy. Start for even 5 minutes everyday and then longer as you start to enjoy the feeling. But remember you must truly desire happiness and choose happiness. Your life is what your thoughts make of it.

Switch your words to switch your life into high gear

You might remember this name from some of my previous recommendations when it comes to understanding the Power of your Mind. Yvonne Oswald’s newest book is out and now available for your reading pleasure. Here is my take on the book:

“This book showed me in very basic and easy-to-understand terms how my own internal and external language patterns were actually creating my life. The first step to my successful life transformation was becoming aware of how often I chose nonsupportive words in my day-to-day speech. With practice and patience, this simple, positive shift in my vocabulary greatly improved my family life — with my children and my husband — as well as shifted my gears into high for my business relationships and sales.”
