Seminar Description:

Want to start a business? Want to grow one? Learn how to cross the starting line in 10 easy steps. We’ll begin by making sure your new business fits your personality, supports your goals and holds your passion. Next, you’ll learn how to identify your best customers, research your market and set a vision – and how to wrap it all up in a simple Business Plan. Finally, you’ll explore options to raise start-up funds, hear the pros and cons of different business structures and discover where to recruit a team of talented employees, suppliers and advisers. We’ll conclude the seminar with helpful advice to manage your time and maintain a razor-sharp focus on success.

Did you know that the best marketing tool you have is always within arms’ reach? No mystery here - it’s a warm handshake. Coupled with a smile and an introduction that invites a response there’s no better way to be noticed.

Consumers these days want to do business with people they know, like and trust. So give them a chance to get past that first step.

I’m not talking about pressing flesh like a politician on the campaign trail. What you’re aiming for is authenticity. Just be yourself!

I attended a local Toastmaster’s meeting the other night and I was mightily impressed. Everyone made it a point to shake my hand, smile and offer their name while asking for mine. There was genuine warmth and interest and I felt welcome.

If this is a new habit for you, remember - anything new feels awkward and forced when we first practice but stay with it. It won’t be long before you simply put your hand out automatically and say, “Hi! My name is Rose-Anne . What’s yours?”
